Computer Technical Tip:
Make it easy to rapildy access a program on a PC
with a few keystrokes! (Hot keys for windows!)
Make it easy to access a program rapidly with a few keystrokes! I use Ctrl Alt D (hold the Ctrl and the Alt key down and then hit the D) to start up my favorite dictionary. The following explains how it is done.
First check to make sure the keys are not already in use by holding down the Ctrl & Alt keys and then hit the D key. Nothing should happen! If something does happen you can pick other combinations of keys to start your dictionary. Try them first.
To set this up right click on the dictionary’s icon and left click on the property tabs. At this point the Shortcut page should be visible. Click on the shortcut key entry box, hold down ctrl and alt and then type the d key. Then click the ok button at the bottom of the window. You are done!
I hope you will use your dictionary whenever you have the slightest bit of confusion on a word. That is better than being totally confused about what you are reading! For more information on Study Technique please check out http://www.elearnaid.com/studyguides.html.
