Auto Parts - What is a dictionary store doing sell that? Well the owner owns a Prius. He found Toyota tired to force customers to buy Toyota 12 volt batteries from the dealer by putting 12 volt batteries with Japanese electrical post in the North America Prius. So he started making kits to allow batteries with American size electrical posts. We got good at packing and shipping batteries (faster delivery than you might expect) and our customers like our well written instructions. (We apply the data in our study books. Click here to find out about corporations also using this data to create courses!)

English Dictionaries for non-native speakers and English as a Second Language (ESL) Dictionaries: These dictionaries provide more information on how to use the word in a sentence. They also use simple words in their definitions, so that someone with a limited English vocabulary can still understand them. We have the following ESL dictionaries: Cambridge, Collins Cobuild, Longman, Macmillan, NTC, and Oxford. Because these dictionaries have easy to understand definitions, native speakers of English often use them as well. For native speakers we recommend the Macmillan.
A teacher in Pennsylvania liked the COBUILD dictionaries because they explain the meaning of a word instead of just defining it. She wanted all the teachers in her school to have one but the school did not have the funds. She convinced the PTA to raise the funds and due to our current sale they were able to get each teacher the Collins COBUILD Concise Learner Dictionary and the Webster's Young Readers for only $19 per teacher (The picture is of the principal of the school and president of the PTA!)
Bilingual Dictionaries: We have a growing collection of bilingual dictionaries on CD including talking bilingual dictionaries. Prices start at $9.95! A great gift! |
